[edit] Castle-Hughes

Because Wikipedia editors, whether correctly or not, can't decide who is biracial or not. I.e. if we have a list of biracial/multiracial people, it needs to have people on it who have been described as bi/multi-racial in a reliable source. Sure, I agree that Castle-Hughes could be considered multiracial, but we need a source that says she is explicitly if Wikipedia is to say so. Mad Jack 04:26, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Mariah Carey's Picture

As I said on Talk:Mariah Carey, the picture of Mariah on the top of Mariah Carey has to stay because it's public domain, which means that the person who took the picture released it to Wikipedia for use. The nice promotional pictures can only be used if a public domain picture is unavailable. Please see Wikipedia:Template_messages/Image_namespace#Fair_use for more information. If you scroll down to the template that says "promotional," which is what a promotional photo of Mariah would be listed under, it says on the tag that the image is allowed "in the absence of free images that could serve such a purpose" - the current picture in public domain is a free image.

If it makes you feel any better, the artist pictures of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are both public domain images and can't replaced by promotional pictures either. The only way that you can change the Mariah picture is if you find another one in public domain that you like better of if you meet Mariah yourself and take a picture :). [edit] What do you mean discuss?

about the picture of the twins on the multiracial page? what's wrong with it? Colorfulharp233 21:17, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

It's easy to find free images for the Multiracial article. Do you thing we should to use unfree ones? --Abu Badali 21:20, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Race

Any fluff piece in People Magazine or US can be used as a source - even if it is wrong. We should use some intellectual rigor to sort through the published garbage. One Fifty Five 14:39, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fine, then list your sources

But you do have to use the correct terminology. SamEV 00:29, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Conestoga Trivia

You erased the revision I made of the school's colors. I graduated from Conestoga in 2004. I was a cheerleader, and numerous cheers include "garnet, gray, and white," so I feel it is safe to say that the school has three colors. Cwinters331 01:48, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
