Colorado Mills

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Colorado Mills is a 1,100,000 sq ft (102,000 m²) mall containing ten anchor stores, and approximately 200 regular retailers, restaurants, and entertainment offerings. The mall is located in Lakewood, Colorado near the junctions of I-70, US 6, and Colfax Avenue.

Opened in November 2002, the mall was the 13th Landmark mall fron the former owners, the Mills Corporation and the largest mall to open in that year. It is the first landmark to have an outdoor lifestyle component called "The Street at Colorado Mills," which includes United Artists 16 Theaters, Woodward Skatepark, and restaurants.

Another Mills first is the "Fashion District," which carries along Saks Fifth Avenue-Off Fifth, and Neiman Marcus' Last Call in portions of Neighborhoods 1 & 2.

In April 2007, Mills Corporation was acquired by Simon Property Group and became Simon's second mall in Colorado after the Town Center at Aurora in nearby Aurora. The mall's slogan is "It's all about you!"
