Coaraze is a commune, located in the département of Alpes-Maritimes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in southeast France. Its inhabitants are called Coaraziens.

Coaraze is a small village in Nice hinterland, in the valley of the Paillon river. The closest city is Contes, 8 km away.

The village itself is built on a sandstone mount at the footstep of Mount Férion (1,414 meters or 4,660 feet high).

Erected as a baronnie in 1629, Coaraze has been under Spanish administration from 1744 to 1748. In the nineteenth century, the old trail is replaced by a road : the Coaraze-Nice travel takes 4 hours (for 25 kilometers).

It is one of the "most beautiful villages of France".
