[edit] Partner Clubs
I think this entry needs a section on Tigres' partnership with its Major League Soccer affiliates, FC Dallas.
[edit] NPOV?
WhataboutTecos of UA de G? UANL and UNAM unquestionably most prestigious? John wesley 13:44, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
- Re: UAG is not a public university. The article clearly states that we are talking about "public universities" here. Clearly, UANL and UNAM are the two most prestigious PUBLIC universities in the country, but not necessarily the most prestigious when competing with private schools. ITESM is a much better school (however, ITESM does not have a professional soccer team playing in the Mexican league). Hari Seldon 23 Abril 2006
[edit] Stadium
The stadium of Tigres is not 52,000 of capacity. In 86' the stadium was not officially recognized as a capacity of 52,000. Nuevo leon Department of ticket sales determine that on a sold out Tigres game the highest registered ticket sales do not surpass 43,000 already with full staff and visited teams. This Is fully supported due to that most of the stadium is a counted seater except for the general location above by FMF and FIFA. http://femexfut.org.mx/portal/index.php
- If you have a source, I suggest you reference it before making the change. Official stadium website says that the stadium has a recognized capacity of 52,000. Hari Seldon 00:54, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
That does not matter the official registered ticket sales of a sold out Uanl game in in the state of Nuevo leon have tigres at 45,000 Maximum, "with Staff and crew". The Tigres.com.mx website is incorrect and that page has not been modified in years. The capacity cannot increase when most of a stadium becomes a full seater (Excluding General Admission). Attendance is most accurately determined. FMF/FIFA have stadium recognized actually at 39,997. http://www.femexfut.org.mx/portal/index.php?Opc=4&SelDiv=0&entro=1 This is the official registered capacity. And the local Pro's have it for 52,000?
- The page you make reference to does not indicate what you are saying. Sourced material takes precedence over unsourced material. Sorry, sourced material says the stadium's capacity is 52,000. Hari Seldon 21:40, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
The difference between my source and yours is that mine is official and Tigres website is not official. You have not found one source from the OFFICIAL FIFA OR FMF that states it is recognized at such capacity.
- No, the difference between your "source" and mine is that mine gives a number, yours doesn't. The link does not source what you are trying to prove. Hari Seldon 18:22, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Bottom line is that your source is giving a number that is not Official, In other words its a false number. My Prove is authentic that capacity is not at a 52,000. wheather i am trying to state that its at 43, 45, or 39 there is no capacity in that stadium for 52,000 as proven by the FMF and FIFA.
- The Official team website is an official source, and even if it wasn't, it doesn't mean it is false. I have a source, you don't: that's the bottom line. Either get a source that shows the number or end this fruitless discussion. Hari Seldon 15:24, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
okay fine you want this okay take it how it comes either way you want it we will see who is right or wrong. Denying these sources im about to list with all respect is just complete ignorance.

yeah so your right the fruitless discussion should end. Yet Tigres.com.mx which has not been updated since 1998 (exception of its Front Page)is considered a source hah, your going to have to do better then that. The last 9 sources (Fifa, FMF, Femex, Laopinion, Elporvenir, NL, SD, are 10 times more reliable then Tigres.com.mx, Since it is PRO-Team. Yet the Main prove of the stadium attendance comes from the source that built that stadium and performs it's yearly Maintence. NL Government and SD. And i have that source but I do believe it no longer necessary to use it.
[edit] reverted edits
I have reverted some recent edits by JulianTV. The reasons are as follows:
- Edits are not supported by sources
- Wording is confusing and grammar is weird
- Primera División A is not Second Division. Segunda División is Second Division. Wikipedia has articles on both playing levels, and thus it is preferable to have the most accepted translation from wikipedia
- There is no such thing as a "vice-champion". The correct translation is "runner-up".
- Some of these edits appear to be original research, and/or motivated by personal feelings.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:TigresUniform.jpg
Image:TigresUniform.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
