The City of Holdfast Bay is a Local Government Area in the south western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia.

The council was formed in the mid 1990s, when the former local government councils of Glenelg and Brighton amalgamated due to their comparatively small size. As a result there are two council offices, one in the historic Glenelg Town Hall on Moseley Square, and the other on Jetty Road Brighton.
