Cinnamon sugar

Cinnamon sugar is a mixture of ground cinnamon and granulated sugar used as a spice for desserts. While premixed versions are available commercially, it is simple to prepare at home.

Typical proportions of cinnamon to sugar:

If the above is too cinnamony, one can lessen the amount of cinnamon—1/4 cup granulated sugar to 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon.

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar to 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon.
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar to 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
  • 1/4 cup (30g) granulated sugar mixed with 2-3 tsp. (20-30g) ground cinnamon.
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar to 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
