[edit] History

An early, almost unrelated form of the band started in mid-2005, consisting of guitarist Lee Duck and former vocalist Brack Cantrell performing over programmed arrangements from a Mac laptop.[2] The duo released their debut self-produced album, Everything Perfect on the Wrong Day, on July 15, 2006. The album includes such songs as “Giants In The Ocean” and “Honest Hitchhikers Asking For Cash Handouts”.

[edit] Sky Eats Airplane 2007-current

On February 24, 2007, Lee Duck announced that the band's original vocalist would be leaving the band to pursue a solo career. Duck stated plans for Sky Eats Airplane to expand to “6 members: 2 guitars, bass, keyboards, singer, and drummer”. [3]
The current, more familiar form of 5 members began in 2007 with the addition of 3 members of the now defunct band, In Theory. There was a nationwide search held for a singer and the search ended with the announcement of Jerry Roush as the new vocalist.

[edit] Warped Tour 2008, Second Album

Sky Eats Airplane is set to be in the Vans Warped Tour in summer 2008, performing on the Smartpunk side stage. [4] The band is currently recording the follow-up to 2006's Everything Perfect on The Wrong Day with producer Brian McTernan at Salad Days Studio.
