On what basis is Chuan labeled as "Overseas Chinese"? A great many Thais are of Chinese descent, but only the few who still speak Chinese and practice non-Buddhist rites are actually considered jiin. Jpatokal 08:32, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I added him to the category because he is linked from Thai Chinese. The article defines Thai Chinese as being Overseas Chinese. But does the term "Overseas Chinese" have to mean Chinese in the cultural sense? I thought it also applied to ethnic Chinese who do not speak Chinese. I'm not sure of the exact definition of jiin, but I have a feeling it's definition is more specific than that of "Overseas Chinese" in English. — J3ff 09:08, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)
OK. I'm still not entirely convinced Chuan is any more 'overseas Chinese' than, say, Thaksin, but now the onus of proof is on me — so I've reverted back to your version. Jpatokal 10:54, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Can anyone show me the exact information:From what time did the Chuan Leekpai's family go to Thailand?
Thanks,
REDFLOWERS,

[edit] post-Prime Minister timelife of Chuan Leekpai

Can anyone show me the activities of Chuan Leekpai as post-Prime Minister timelife?I know only such informations of Anand Panyarachun, not the one of Chuan. Thanks, --Redflowers 03:17, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chuan 1

Did Chuan really do anything during his first government? I don't see any evidence of him enacting any significant new legislation, except for some logging laws. Patiwat 21:29, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bias

This article is GROSSLY biased against Chuan and needs to be rewritten by someone knowledable and impartial. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 10:36, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

I second this. The Quote section clearly illustrates it. Most Thai people who are critical of Leekpai accuse him of being "All talk and no action" and the quote section obviously is made to attack him on this. This is a crime against wikipedia's neutrality and no one has spotted this for months. Walmansa (talk) 04:09, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
