Christopher Shaun Ruane (born 18 July 1958, Rhyl) is a politician in the United Kingdom. He is Labour member of Parliament first elected in 1997, for the Vale of Clwyd, which includes the seaside towns of Rhyl and Prestatyn. He was the Parliamentary Private Secretary to Peter Hain from 2003 until his resignation in March 2007 in protest against the decision to replace Trident. [1]
