Chkhalta

Chkhalta is a principal village of Upper Abkhazia in the Kodori Valley, part of Georgia's autonomous republic of Abkhazia. Controlled by the Georgian government, the village is home to the headquarters of Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia. Georgia recognizes this government as the only legitimate government of Abkhazia. The village, and the area in general, are currently undergoing a major rehabilitation program.
