The history is wrong. See one of my articles for this (will supply link shortly).

I'm going to move the page to Chinese opening (go). There are very good reasons for not using Japanese terms in page titles, unless the page is specifically about something Japanese. I have had wide experience of the reaction to this of Chinese and Korean players. Charles Matthews 15:26, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
