Chicken and mushroom pie

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chicken and mushroom pie is a common British pie, often served in fish and chips restaurants. The outside is usually a full top and bottom crust, with the filling made up of small pieces of chicken and sliced mushrooms in a creamy sauce. The most popular ones are Pukka Pies, made by a company based in Syston, Leicestershire.[citation needed] Chip shops across the south and Midlands stock these pies, topped with puff pastry.

Chicken and mushroom pies are made by many companies. As well as Pukka Pies, Hollands is a big name, often serving in British chippys.
