The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria national football team is not internationally recognized. It represents the Chechen Diaspora.

Chechnya is neither a member of FIFA nor UEFA and does not participate in international tournaments. The goal of the France-based Chechnya Football Federation, which was formed in 2005 and controls the team, is to gain official status[citation needed]. They are provisional members of the New Federations Board, which organizes matches for non-official national teams. They take part to the 2005 UNPO Cup winning in semifinals on penalties with Southern Cameroons and losing in final 3-1 with South Moluccas.
