[edit] Introduction
On attaining my adminship, I stumbled blindly into the maze that administrators have to negotiate on a daily basis. Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention and Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism are both boards that I was already familiar with, and Wikipedia:Requests for page protection was something I had come across, and learned to use quickly and easily. Even the Administrators' noticeboard became easier, with time.
[edit] Proposal
After a while as an administrator, and my own handful of problems, blocks, and vendettas against me, I have tried and tried to understand Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/3RR. I have come to the conclusion that the current version is utterly useless[1], and should be replaced with an 'edit war reporting board'. Said board would be cleaned by helperbots when completed, and will take the final form of WP:RFPP; that is, a board with easy to read icons, a clear structure, simple templates for reporting, etc.
[edit] Example
[edit] Current edit wars
Post current edit wars or violations of WP:3RR in this section. Check here if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
[edit]
Edit warring in progress, possible protection required (length at admin's discretion). Multiple IP users repeatedly replace Hindu with "Keling" (a racial slur against Indians), refer to members of the group as terrorists, replace images, etc, over several days. Edit-war ongoing as to if the Southern Colonies were inherently against progressiveness or not. Something needs doing to keep it relatively stable before there is any hope of it being developed into a good article. Terraxos 00:42, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Declined Discussion is ongoing, and edits are changing with each day to form a rough consensus. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 01:25, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

People are arguing - again - over how many runs player X has. Obviously player Y has the most, but people won't listen, adn I'm afraid to revert again. HMS Nonesuch 22:34, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
