Charles "Charlie" Lee (born January 5, 1987 in Whitechapel, England) is an English footballer, who can play either as a defender or as a holding midfield player.
East London born Charlie featured 19 times for the Tottenham Under-18s and twice for the reserves in 2004-05. He appeared on the first team substitute bench for the first time in the UEFA Cup tie against Slavia Prague on Thursday 28th September 2006 and also appeared as an unused substitute against Sporting Braga, a match which Tottenham won 3-2.
On Saturday 18th November, Lee played his first game for Millwall in their 2-2 draw with Doncaster, filling in for the injured Richard Shaw.
He was released from his contract by Tottenham on May 19, 2007. [1]
Lee, who can operate as a central defender or a holding midfielder, spent the latter part of last season on-loan at League One outfit Millwall and a host of clubs were chasing his signature. He also captained the Tottenham reserve side for much of that campaign.
Lee completed a move to Peterborough United on 23 May 2007, signing a 3 year contract.[2] He has played the majority of his games for the Posh in centre midfield, impressing fans with his tough tackling and long range shooting, which has led to him scoring 8 goals in the 07-08 season.
