[edit] Design and development
Cessna Aircraft were suffering in the depression and downturn in the economy following the Wall Street crash. The company design a simple primary glider (the Model CG-2) in an attempt to keep the factory going. The glider did go into limited production before the company ceased operation for a number of years.
