Both Centra and VG used to be small foodstore brands in mainland UK too - can anyone trace the connection. I had the feeling there was a connection between Mace and Centra.--PeterR 21:40, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Mace (shops) and Centra are two different companies at the moment anyway. I don't think there are any Centra's in the UK, only in Northern Ireland. It says that Centra used to be VG alright in the article, then breaking down into Centra and SuperValu in 1979. The SuperValu article also confirms this. -Ablaze (talk) 23:28, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

VG may well have had stores in Great Britain at one stage - Musgrave imported the brand (short for Voluntary Group) from Holland. --Rdd 19:38, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
