Central Township is located in Bond County, Illinois. The population was 7,941 at the 2000 census.

Central Township covers an area of 37.17 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Greenville (the county seat). It contains nine cemeteries: Hazel Dell, Hazel Dell, Montrose, Mount Auburn, Mount Gilead, Mount Moriah, Old City, Saint Lawrence Catholic and Smith Grove.
