The CDM Sports Radio Network is a small broadcasting outfit that focuses its attention on high schools in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
The network has been active for 10 years and was formed when local sports broadcasting began to disappear from the radio airwaves.[1]
Founded by Nate Codispoti, Jack Dickey and Bob McElligot, CDM Sports now is directed by Terry Codispoti.
CDM Sports broadcasts a full slate of athletic competitions and is heard on WQZS 93.3 FM in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania. Broadcasts are also available online at www.cdmradio.com.[2]
Several former CDM Sports Radio Network employees have progressed to professional jobs. The network's most accomplished broadcaster is Bob McElligot, who is the voice of the AHL's Syracuse Crunch. Other former or current members of the network to broadcast professionally are Keith Gerhart (ECHL Johnstown Chiefs), Matt Dimperio (ECHL Johnstown Chiefs), Matt Jordan (ECHL Johnstown Chiefs) and Joe Babik (ECHL Fresno Falcons).
