I am attending CVHS and I think it should be noted that the school has four academies and is based on four different career bases. 1. Engineering and Science Academy: This academy is entirely based around students who want a career in engineering. Their color is red. 2. Visual and Performing Arts: This academy has a unique learning system based around students who would like a career in the arts. Their color is black. 3. Humanities/World Languages: This academy is all about learning the humanities and world languages for kids who might want to be politicians or careers in other countries or perhaps even historians. their color is gold. 4. Emedia/Business: This is an academy that has classes taught like business, for kids who would like to pursue a career in business. Their color is white. I am currently in the Visual and Performing Arts Academy and I thought we ought to update this information because this is the FIRST highschool in colorado to have this unique system of learning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.164.84.247 (talk • contribs)

- (Template text over, this is me speaking now) I don't think that Castle View is the first high school in Colorado to use a small school format, but it is likely the first Colorado high school to open using that format. Denver's Manual High School converted from a traditional comprehensive high school program into three academies in 2001 in an effort to keep the school from being closed. See "Manual's slow death" in the 7 May 2006 Denver Post for background on that school. -- Oddharmonic 22:41, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
If construction was completed in August 2006, how in the heck did they have a football team to compete in the 2005-2006 school year? Neat trick. I'll register as soon as I have some pics to upload and figure out this football weirdness. I promise. 71.211.159.231 02:26, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
