Cassandra "Cassie" Compton (born July 1987) is singer/songwriter and actress who appeared on the UK TV music talent show The X Factor. Compton finished fifth on the show in 2004 at 17 years of age. She was mentored by Sharon Osbourne in the under-25s category and was eliminated from the competition three weeks before the final after ending up in the bottom two.

Since then Compton has been recording songs for her debut album, The Girl.

At 10 years old, Compton appeared in the West End Whistle Down the Wind and at 14 she played the lead role of Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden.

After appearing on The X Factor, she filmed a guest lead in two episodes the television series Casualty. She also starred as Alice Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington, the first pantomime at London Zoo, in December 2005. While working on this project she also starred in a Theatreworks production of Little Women, as Jo March. She has recorded voicework for foreign language tapes, and made public appearances for charity events. During mid 2006, Compton played a leading role as Lena in the musical play Diamond at The King's Head Theatre.

She is currently playing Eponine in the hit musical Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre in London's West End, until 21 June 2008.
