It is my understanding that the name originates in Cork. That's no Blarney. Further, I'm impressed that it means "loving". Can we get consensus on these statements?

I converted half the nonstandard pronunciations but the Irish ones are way out of my depth. Someone with a knowledge of IPA, the irish language and its phonetic dialects needs to look at this one. - Zeibura ^(Talk) 16:06, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
