Carlos Eduardo Salazar (born July 1, 1981, in Colombia) is a Colombian footballer, who currently plays midfielder for Chilean club Colo-Colo. Salazar played for several teams in Colombia and spent time in Costa Rica and Venezuela. Salazar moved to Colo-Colo in January of 2008. He was signed to Colo-Colo to take over for fellow Colombian Giovanni Hernández, who left the club at the end of 2007. Colo-Colo also signed fellow Colombian Macnelly Torres for the 2008 Clausura tournament. Salazar will probably be thrown into the starting line-up immediately. Salazar scored in his debut for Colo-Colo. However, he has been critized widely in Chile for his poor performances.
