[edit] Reality TV Career

Zavaleta was a cast member of MTV's reality show Road Rules during the Road Rules: South Pacific season. During the season, she was voted off by her team and replaced by Tina Barta.

Cara was originally cast as part of the alumni team in 2007 Road Rules: Viewer's Revenge, but dropped-out before filming began. She was replaced by Susie Meister. She has also participated on several of Real World/Road Rules Challenges including Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet, Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet II, and Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Inferno III.

[edit] Playboy

After her stint on Road Rules, she posed for Playboy, which was planning a pictorial specifically focusing on reality television. Although several other of MTV's The Real World or Road Rules castmembers have appeared in Playboy, Zavaleta is the only one to appear as the Playmate of the Month centerfold (November 2004).

Zavaleta added to her Playboy résumé in February 2006 when she posed for a Playmate Xtra as part of the Playboy Cyber Club.

Cara was also photographed by former Saturday Night Live comedian Rob Schneider in a nude, gag pictorial for the Playboy Cyber Club.

[edit] Personal life

Zavaleta briefly dated Dave Giuntoli, one of her former Road Rules co-stars.

She also attended Bowling Green State University for one year before dropping out.
