He was born in 1981 and grew up in Randolph County, Illinois. He is a citizen of the United States of America, although the above picture was taken at his M.A. defence in Canada.

A Master of Arts degree in History from the University of Windsor. Prior to this he took his Bachelor of Arts degree with the rank of magna cum laude at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. At the beginning of his academic career he completed an Associate in Arts degree.

During his studies he had the opportunity to meet several notable figures, including Seymour Hersh, Anthony Zinni, Scott Ritter, Richard Goldstone, Jim Edgar and Michael Madigan.
His favourite television shows are House, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Nature, Nova, Frontline, The Late Show with David Letterman and The Daily Show.
Past favourites include Quantum Leap, Sliders, The X-Files, Night Court, ALF, Tales from the Darkside, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Due South and Roswell.
Some favourite music groups include The Postal Service, Blink 182, Third Eye Blind, John Mayer, Phil Collins, Pet Shop Boys, Goo Goo Dolls, Five For Fighting, Foo Fighters, The Starting Line, Switchfoot and Sugar Ray.
