California's 6th Assembly District is one of 80 districts in the California State Assembly. It is currently represented by Democrat Jared Huffman of San Rafael.

The district currently consists of all of Marin County (with such notable cities as Novato, San Rafael, and Sausalito), and southern Sonoma County, including the cities of Cotati, Rohnert Park, Petaluma, and Sonoma, and CDPs of Boyes Hot Springs, El Verano, Eldridge, Fetters Hot Springs-Agua Caliente, Glen Ellen, and Temelec.[1]

The 6th district is considered to be a Democratic stronghold, with 50.3% of registered voters being registered Democrats and 27.5% registered Republicans.
