California's 2nd State Senate District is one of 40 Senate Districts. It is currently represented by Democratic Senator Pat Wiggins of Santa Rosa.

The district stretches along most of California's northern coast, including the entirety of Humboldt, Lake, Mendocino, and Napa Counties, as well as parts of Solano and Sonoma Counties. In Solano County, it contains the entirety of the cities of Benicia, Rio Vista, and Vallejo, and the CDP of Green Valley. In Sonoma County, it contains the entirety of the cities of Cloverdale, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Sonoma, and Windsor; the entirety of the CDPs of Bodega Bay, Fetters Hot Springs, Forestville, Glen Ellen, Graton, Guerneville, Monte Rio, Occidental, Roseland; and parts of the CDPs of Boyes Hot Springs and Eldridge.

The 2nd Senate District is a strongly Democratic district, with 49.6% of registered voters being registered Democrats and 29.2% registered Republicans.
