Caivano is a city e comune (municipality) in the Province of Naples in the Italian region Campania, located about 14 km northeast of Naples. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 36,980 and an area of 27.1 km².[1]
The municipality of Caivano contains the frazioni Casolla and Pascarola. In Pascarole, there is a large industrial area (ranking amongst the top ten in Italy, the third largest in the South).
Caivano borders the following municipalities: Acerra, Afragola, Cardito, Crispano, Marcianise, Orta di Atella.
