CAF Champions League 2008 - Preliminary round

This is the Preliminary Round of the CAF Champions League 2008. A total of 42 teams will have to play in a two-legged round, but the teams from the Central African Republic, Chad, Kenya, Rwanda and Sierra Leone were excluded from the competition for failure to fulfill their financial obligations. 26 teams will proceed to the next round. Team 1 will play the first leg at home. The away goals rule will be employed in this round. The preliminary round is schedule to be played between February 15 and March 2.
