Burning Flame ：

The planning of the establishment of Wikipedia Hong Kong as a society has entered the final stage.

From 27th April 2006, every Hong Kong Wikimedians is welcomed to participate in the discussion on the vote on the official name of the chapter. Then a one-week nomination period and a three-week voting period will be held. At the same time, you are also welcomed to join in the discussion on the draft constitution of the chapter.

After an official name is decided, the recruitment of member will be started and the first general meeting will be held (Please refer to the schedule). If you're interested to join, please sign your name on this page so that an estimation on the number of member could be done.

Thanks for your contributions to the Siege of Osaka. It's certainly a page which could use some expansion. Can you please cite your sources, though? You seem like a trustworthy contributor, but if you weren't, I would not have any idea whether or not to trust such things as number changes (on the strength of the armies). Thank you. Sure I will help translate it for you, but the main problem is that I don't know those individuals' names in English. There're still too many names that needs to be translated. I think you're better fit for translation because Japan history is not really my department. My department would be science and environment. I was a bit busy lately helping Biography Summer Assessment drive and starting a completely new task force for environmental record along with adding info and pictures to dragon boat. I'll sort the article that needs translating asap. OhanaUnitedTalk page 15:31, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
I have done translation, but I don't think I did a great job because I don't know much about the history of Japan at that time and I missed out some translation. Please check and fix any errors that I made. On a sidenote, please help me support in overturning the deletion of a template that you're very familar of in chinese wikipedia but encounter diffculities implementing in english wikipedia. [edit] Venue suggestion needed for a meet-up in Yuen Long

Dear: Burning Flame ：

In the past meet-ups, we always had our meeting in the centre of Kowloon, either Kowloon Tong or Mong Kok. However, apart from these places, I am sure that alternative venues in other region would be suitable.


This is the time for your suggestion! According to some discussion on Chinese Wikipedia, from August of 2007, the Hong Kong Wikimedians’ meet-up would be held in all districts of Hong Kong in a circulation basis.


Here is the tentative information of the first meet-up：

Date：11, August, 2007 (Saturday)
Time：After 5:00pm
Proposed region：Yuen Long


The community would request for ideas of where we should hold the meet-up , in order to have a better decision. If you have any good ideas, don’t hesitate to give your opinions, million thanks!
