(EN): A wooden tower on a moat or mound was the first keep to be built at Bunratty (1251).

(GA): Ina dhiadh sin, thóg an Clárach caisleán cloiche (1277) agus thóg De Rokeby caisleán (1353).
(EN): After this, De Clare built a stone castle (1277) and De Rokeby a castle (1353).
