[edit] List of SR Lord Nelson Class Locomotives

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article List of SR Lord Nelson Class Locomotives, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Article deletion nominations

Please remain civil: nominating articles for deletion is not vandalism, it's a difference in opinion, a difference in interpreting the goals and policies of Wikipedia. Furthermore, please don't WP:CANVASS for support on other pages, like you did on Talk:West Coast Main Line. As for the "memorial" statement, is was not intended as an insult, but I imagined that a page about demolished locomotives would be for trainspotters what a memorial is for the relatives of the deceased, hence my comment. I have no problems with trainspotters as editors, but not every aspect of every hobby must be documented on Wikipedia (I have nominated quite a number of articles related to comics for deletion, even though those are my hobby). I'll second this. I'd also note that you are actually hurting your arguments by repeating them over and over again and by not basing a lot of them in Wikipedia policy. There is, in my opinion, clear notability for th information and as long as it is properly sourced it will stay. Please stop replying to every person who expresses an opinion on the AfD debate, you really are hurting the chances the article will stay. I say this as a veteran of hundreds of AfD debates and as an admin. Gwernol 14:19, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of SR West Country Class locomotives

Please do not remove or change older posts you made, certainly not when there have been replies. If you want to correct or improve anything, use strikethrough like this to do so, and note that you have changed it after your first signature with a new signature plus timestamp, indicating when you have changed things. I know that what you changed was nothing bad (attacks, changing of arguments to influence the debate, whatever), but it is preferred that you don't do it. See Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines for more about this. I have reverted your last post in the discussion for this reason only. Fram 14:23, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of SR Merchant Navy Class locomotives

It's a good list, but it needs a lead section, as per WP:LIST. Also, I don't think the Y is necessary in the preserved column - the fact that it has a current location should imply this. Otherwise at least explain what Y means! – Tivedshambo (talk) 04:43, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tagged for deletion

You know someone's tagged a few of the train lists for deletion? I've every sympathy for your cause but I'm sure you can put your case much better than I could. Nick mallory 11:15, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your GA nomination of SR Leader Class

The article SR Leader Class you nominated as a good article has failed , see Talk:SR Leader Class for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of said article. If you oppose this decision, you may ask for a review.
