PLEASE NOTE: I am a single-issue Wikipedian on the whole, unless I find some glaring problems on other articles that I believe need to be rectified on my travels. But in the main, I will mostly be charting the history of various steam locomotive classes, especially those of the Southern Railway.
Greetings! Currently working on improving British Southern Railway articles, as they are in desperate need of expanding. Feel free to look around my projects...
Projects that I have recently undertaken are as follows:
SR West Country and Battle of Britain Classes,
SR Merchant Navy Class,
SR Leader Class,
SR Class Q1,
SR Class Q,
SR Z Class,
LSWR N15 class,
SR Class V,
SR Lord Nelson Class,
LSWR Class M7. Inevitably, more are on the way!
My interests are fairly diverse, and include military vehicles, model-making, and of course, railways.
I am also a University Student of History, and I wish to apply the approaches of a historian to Wikipedia.
Finally, I enjoy visiting the Heritage Railways of Britain, preferably standard gauge, and am an enthusiast of the
Southern Railway due to the sheer variety of locomotive classes for such a relatively small operating area.
[edit] Current projects
- Helping with the A1/A3 article.
- Helping with Rail Transport Article when I can (I'm like Gladstone, I prefer the detail to the broad picture!).
[edit] Thanks
- For steadfastly helping to bring several Southern Railway locomotive articles up to FA standard, I wish to thank EdJogg.
- I also wish to thank John of Paris for helping with the engineering side of things, and for finding a photograph of the SR Z Class in its home territory, as well as having some input.
- User:Slambo for encouragement.
- And anyone else who has helped along the way, no matter how big/small; you know who you are...
