[edit] Discussion
An anonymous user has been trying to insert an article which is obviously lifted from some other source. The writing is very promotional and violates a neutral point of view. I have reverted the article back to a previous version. That version in itself is not perfect, but it is much more neutral in tone and can continue to be edited. Dbart 13:19, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
The article which had been inserted was lifted directly word for word from the ABC website. Dbart 13:59, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
When the article mentions Kitty in the list of siblings, it says she is the only Republican. In several episodes, Tommy has professed a conservative viewpoint as well. I'm not sure that she's the only Republican, just the most vocal about it. the sleeper 02:15, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Afghanistan vs Iraq
I seem to remember that Justin went to Afghanistan, not Iraq?
This statement: "The series brings in good ratings for ABC standing at about 14 million viewers. Mostly carry over viewers from Desperate Housewives." I think, deserves a citiation. --Redheaded dude 02:26, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
On the November 6,2006 episode, Justin talks about Afghanistan rather than Iraq. As such, I changed the article and reference accordingly. --Redheaded dude 02:45, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Episode 1x09 ("Mistakes Were Made Pt 2") clarifies that Justin originally served in Afghanistan but has been recalled to active duty -- this time to Iraq. Atlantawiki 01:19, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kevin page
I made a page for the character of Kevin. I'm not sure if I'm going to do any other character pages for the show, but I think he's such an important character, especially in terms of gay characters on TV. If any of you wanted to read it or had comments, the page is here.
[edit] Moved
The article was moved as "Brothers and Sisters" was already a disambiguation page; in addition, the TV series is the second in the US to have "Brothers and Sisters" (with or without an ampersand) as its title, and provisions had to be made for the article covering that series (when it is written). [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:BrothersAndSisters-S1.jpg
Image:BrothersAndSisters-S1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:54, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Linked
I've linked the each character's name with their character profiles.--Chaosbladeuk 21:57, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Chaosbladeuk
[edit] Episodes
Should the Episodes section in the main article be incorporated into the other Wikipedia article "List of Brothers & Sisters episodes"? Episode information appears to be maintained in two articles. Merbenz 23:37, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Actors' awards
Do we really need to insert "Oscar winning" in front of every mention of Sally Field's name? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ronstew (talk • contribs) 03:56, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- We get the same thing here aswell, I think it's great she won and everything, but seriously, it get a little vein when they announce it everytime you see an advert or preview for it. (♠Murchy♠) 13:11, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Show References
Is it me or does the show tend to reference New Zealand quite a bit, 2 episodes in particular ("Date Night" and "Light the Lights"), firstly in "Date Night" when Kevin sarcastically suggests they move to New Zealand because no one will recognise them (sadly implicating that NZ is some hick back-water country that has no connection to the rest of the world, which is simply not true) and then in "light the Lights" when Nora brings Holly a Pavlova (a food indigenous to New Zealand). Maybe its just me, thought i'd bring it up. (♠Murchy♠) 13:18, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Main character killed off, or fake-out?
I don't think they'll kill Justin off in tonight's episode. Note that the commercials are careful not to show who receives the triangle-folded flag. I could be wrong, of course. I'll be watching tonight. Cromulent Kwyjibo 22:20, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wicked
Can anyone tell me which episode(s) this paragraph is referring to, when "The characters played by Calista Flockhart and Sally Field go see the Los Angeles production of Wicked"?? Happy‑melon 22:18, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] third season
Is there any mention of whether or not it is know whether there will or will not be a season three? -- JanCK (talk) 16:30, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
No way of knowing yet, we should find out in May however with the current numbers and rankings it's definately going to be back for a third season. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.70.87.72 (talk) 21:26, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Soap opera?
Shouldn't Brothers & Sisters being included in the "soap operas" category, since it effectively is one. It can still be a drama series as well as being a soap opera. 79.66.11.189 (talk) 04:02, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Spoiler warnings needed
I am reading this in the UK where we are somewhat behind the US, part way through the second season I believe. There are several major spoilers contained prominently in this article, even in the cast list, e.g. Kevin married, Ryan etc.
I'm not au fait with Wikipedia but could someone sort out the spoilers or put up a big spoiler warning for the Europeans? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.54.219.2 (talk) 09:37, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
