Broad Oak High School is a specialist Sports College located on Hazel Avenue about a mile to the east of Bury town centre in Greater Manchester, England.
Within Broad Oak Sports College there are five forms/houses: Ashmeadow,Bellgate,Eastwood,Seedfield and Wellington. However, as of September 2007, the Year 7 of that year no longer hosted Seedfield as their was a shortage of admissions.
The school was faced with a controversial crisis last year when it was under threat of closure however after protests, and numerous hours of work by the whole community, it was saved.
Broad Oak has it's own two day annual radio station called BOSC FM which runs for two days. It transmits on 87.7 FM throughout Bury, which is organised by Ms Dunbar for the 3 years. This year it will be broadcast on March 11 and 12 2008.
