Brignoles is a town and commune of southeastern France, in the Var département, of which it is a sous-préfecture. Population 16,000.
It was the summer residence of the counts of Provence. Their castle dates from the 13th century.
It was the birthplace of Saint Louis of Toulouse (1274-1297) and of the French actor, Jean-Baptiste Maunier.
