Brian Henson (born November 30, 1962 in New York City, New York) is an Academy Award-winning puppeteer, director, producer, and technician. The son of puppeteers Jane and Jim Henson, he, along with his sister Lisa, is co-chairman and co-CEO of the Jim Henson Company.
He provided the voice of Hoggle, one of the main characters in Labyrinth (1986), and portrayed Dr. Phil van Neuter, the Muppet mad scientist who tries to suck out Gonzo's brain in Muppets from Space. Other noteworthy roles include the Dog in both versions of The Storyteller, and the voice of Jack Pumpkinhead in the movie Return to Oz.
He has taken over as the roles of both Scooter and Janice in It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie since the death of Richard Hunt in 1992.
He was the producer of the TV series Dinosaurs, Aliens in the Family and Bear in the Big Blue House. His most visible recent project was the cult sci-fi series Farscape.
Henson will also direct The Boggart, based on Susan Cooper's novel.[citation needed]
