[edit] Wait a second...
Breath of Fire IV wasn't on the PS2. It was on the Playstation, and now I don't know if the release dates are accurate... --Dalkaen 02:11, July 20, 2005 (UTC)
- To be perfectly honest, I don't know why I did that. It must have been a late-night edit because it makes absolutely no sense. The release dates are correct though. [1] --John Lynch 00:05, 20 July 2005 (UTC)
- Alright then, thanks for clearing that up. --Dalkaen 02:12, July 20, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] What about momo?
well, i was just mentioned on the page, that this game, has no type off whatsoever realation to the previous ones:
"it should be noted that Breath of Fire IV and Breath of Fire V do not seem to have any relation to each other or to any other Breath of Fire installment outside of being part of the same series."
and momo (from breath of fire 3) in wyndia? and the people of this world has the bad habbit of summoning "gods" from other worlds. so, there we have it, the explanation.
makes perfect sense to me. so even if it doesn't follow the same storyline, it could be that this is just another paralel dimension.
[edit] Zig/Ursula scene
I remember this scene in the American version, and I'm fairly certain it was still in there, pants dropping and all. Except that there was no mention of what she was showing, possibly making it even worse... ~ Oni Lukos ct 00:48, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- Really? I honestly don't remember this scene in my NA version. And most people Ive talked also dont have this scene, but there were some who also reported that their NA version had that scene too. Does your NA version contain the other scenes? -- whipsandchains 02:26, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
-
- No, everything else mentioned there was indeed deleted or substituded. My copy in numbered SLUS-01324, if that makes any difference. ~ Oni Lukos ct 00:19, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- Not sure what my number is I'm afraid. DO you want to take that portion out or add a little note to it that it doesnt appear on all NA versions?--whipsandchains 03:33, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

- I didn't notice a similar scene when I played through the NA version.. but here it is in Japanese for comparison: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mLVRc17E9s --68.22.242.244 (talk) 20:49, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Scias
what happened to the Scias article? It seemed like it was well written and what not, so why's it gone?
- Someone went to all the BOF character pages and redirected them to their respective game pages. =/ Stills64 04:01, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Successful good article nomination
I am glad to say that this article which was nominated for good article status has succeeded. This is how the article, as of July 10, 2007, compares against the six good article criteria:
- 1. Well written?: Yes.
- 2. Factually accurate?: Yes. Citations present in all critical points, with correct formatting.
- 3. Broad in coverage?: Yes.
- 4. Neutral point of view?: Not applicable.
- 5. Article stability? Yes.
- 6. Images?: Yes. Great job on the fair use rationales. They're perfect, to my knowledge.
If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it to a GA review. Thank you to all of the editors who worked hard to bring it to this status. — Carson 05:26, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comparing the character change system to that of Final Fantasy X's?=
"Another new feature to the battle system of the Breath Of Fire series is a character switch system in battle. Similar to Final Fantasy X's character battle switching system. In battle you have 6 characters. Three of which are in the front and do all the fighting. While in the back row the party cannot do anything. However they restore slight amounts of AP every turn and occasionally will attack an enemy or use a special ability to assist the front party while in the back row."
The second sentence, aside from being grammatically incorrect, is actually quite inaccurate. Breath of Fire IV was released a full year before Final Fantasy X. Additionally, the system is not new to the Breath of Fire series either (as the first sentence states). The first game also allowed you to switch characters mid-battle, although, unlike IV's, sideline characters did not restore AP and switching cost a turn. If no one has any objections, I will change the article in the near future to reflect the more relevant objections. Paltheos 20:50, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the catch, Pal. I monitored this article for a while after it went GA, but I've been away from WP for awhile and I guess it slipped under my radar. I went ahead and removed the text for the time being, but you're encouraged to re-add it if you could make it better. To whoever added it in the first place (it was an anon IP so I can't really track them), we're not censoring you here, just trying to keep this page to a manageable GA standard (IE, free from original research - you need a reference if you want to make that claim).
