Wipeout PS3 (working title) is to be the next full entry in the Wipeout racing franchise and will be released on the PlayStation 3. The game may utilize a modified version of the engine from MotorStorm[1] and will feature controls using the SIXAXIS motion-sensing capabilities.[2]

Developers confirmed a PS3 Wipeout was being worked on and stated that there would be a full announcement regarding the game in August[3], but the announcements around that time instead detailed the forthcoming Wipeout HD. This high-definition Wipeout game was announced by Sony for release before Wipeout PS3 in 2008, downloadable from the PlayStation Store.
