[edit] Housing

"More middle-class homes....." So the posh houses there are owned by the aristocracy and the landed gentry are they? No, they are owned by richer middle-class people too. This is a confusion of the term "middle-class" and should be removed.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.176.105.39 (talkcontribs) 09:43, 20 February 2007

[edit] Famous Residents

Does anyone know any more famous residents of Bramhall (Both past and present)? I know Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lives there, but don't want to just add him onto the page without naming a few others. Adzer 04:31, 01 June 2007 (UTC)

Tim Howard, Peter Schmeichel used to live there I think and Ryan Giggs too. A lot of Coronation Street stars, I think Richard Fleeshman does or did, David Dickenson definitly did, Sarah Harding, George Best, Rio Ferdinand I hope this helps! ~~CD

[edit] Dean, p14

Who (or what) is this "Dean, p14" in references? --Jotel (talk) 10:32, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

See Bramall Hall for Dean, E. Barbara (1977). Bramall Hall: The Story of an Elizabethan Manor House. Stockport: Recreation & Culture Division, Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport. ISBN 0905164067.  Mr Stephen (talk) 12:18, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Is this the new recommended way of quoting references in WP?--Jotel (talk) 12:32, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
It's just one way. It comes in handy if there are lots of references to one book. Mr Stephen (talk) 12:46, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
I know that. But only of the book is referenced many times in the same article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jotel (talkcontribs) 13:10, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I see. No this (as used in Bramhall) isn't recommended, you need a full reference somewhere. Mr Stephen (talk) 15:07, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
