There is no such settlement - of any size - as "Braint". There is however a very small river of that name, Afon Braint. The OS grid ref given here leads you to a lovely marshy field on the banks of that stream (happens to be marked Afon Braint just there, which probably explains how it ended up here... I've just been through half a dozen similar cases and there seems to be a mania for defending non-places in Wales and classifying farmhouses as "villages" at the moment (e.g. Braichyfedw, if it's still there when you read this)! It's the name of a Isle of Anglesey County Council Ward, in the LlanfairPG area: see Isle of Anglesey County Council, [1], [2], [3]. It needs a rewrite, not deletion. BencherliteTalk 00:06, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok, that's fair enough, but it shouldn't be classed as a village in that case. It's just that there's a whole lot of non-places or "settlements" of two or three houses coming up in the Wales geo-stubs as a result of an erroneous list of "UK settlements" (so I'm informed by Epbr123. Would you know if Alaw, Anglesey is a ward as well? There's a stub for it as a village and there is most definitely none. This is all creating a lot of hassle and loss of time and energy for no good reason. Hope you might be able to help. Diolch, Enaidmawr (talk) 00:18, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
