Braeside is a residential neighborhood in the south-west quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located north of Anderson Drive, south of Southland Drive, west of 14th Street SW and east of 24th Street SW.

In 2006 the neighbourhood had a population of 6,182.[3] Residents in this community had a median household income of $57,728 in 2000, and there were 9.9% low income residents living in the neighborhood.[1] As of 2000, 20.5% of the residents were immigrants. A proportion of 10.6% of the buildings were condominiums or apartments, and 19.6% of the housing was used for renting.[2]
[edit] Infrastructure
There are two shopping complexes in the community, both strip malls. The larger complex located on Southland Drive is home to a Shoppers Drug Mart and a string of smaller retail and dining outlets. The other facility nestled in the corner of 24th Street and Anderson Road is home to a Pizza Hut restaurant, a Tim Horton's, a KFC, a Subway sandwich shop, and several smaller retail and medical outlets, as well as a community police station. A number of convenience stores are also located in the neighbourhood. The majority of land use is residential, however.
