[edit] Now that this is kindof cleaned up...

    • Someone needs to sight a source for the part about them not using illicit substances.

Does anyone have ANY info on the band other than discography-related stuff?
Cos we're missing...

  1. Where in Japan they live/formed
  2. Any biographical info whatever
  3. How they formed, met
  4. Any comments from the band

I'm going to begin scowering the net for interviews... in the meantime, feel free to add whatever you find. References are good...Thing which solomon overlooked 15:47, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

  6. KindMUZIK Interview (whole band; Dutch language)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Boris Logo.png

Image:Boris Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:53, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Atsuo's English

It's stated under the Members section that Atsuo is considered the "leader" of the band because he speaks English well. However, it's noted in almost every interview I've seen with him that he has to use a translator because his English is so poor. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Atsuo does not speak English very well, but it seems he understands it well enough; Atsuo can understand and answer, albeit with limited English, questions regarding Boris' albums and that type of thing. However for full-blown conversations, Wata takes the lead as Boris' resident English speaker.82.18.49.148 14:25, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE the BOSS FEEDBACKER:

The Setup sentence regarding this pedal was total speculation. Neither Wata nor Takeshi have this device on their boards. Please refrain from invention when contributing to encyclopedic entries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.105.174.215 (talk) 05:24, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Are you sure of this? I am almost 100% I saw a Boss Feedbacker at a Boris gig in Sheffield, UK Last year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vicissitudo (talk • contribs) 13:59, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Maybe you did...(I am definately not saying you're lying, dude)...but: (a) it is not a crucial tool for their sound, which is what the sentence suggested; (b) I have likewise seen the band play live and this stompbox was no-where to be seen; (c) enthusiasts at various sites which list the pedalboards they witness at shows have questioned their use of this pedal; (d) the Inoxia/official site generously lists the rigs of each member. The Super Distortion Feedbacker is absent, which seems a little strange for something meant to be such an important part of their sound, don't you think? There are, however, a number of echo units present (Roland, Mirano, Kastam), and also amps certainly more capable of the task than that pedal!; and (e) I find the whole idea that the album feedbacker was named after that pedal a little dubious. I have definately never ever heard this from any member. You really have to cite this. It just sounds like speculation and nothing more. I think it is more likely that the title alludes to anything, or anyone, invoking feedback, in general. Of course, I too am meerly speculating and nothing more. But I seriously doubt such influence from such a pedal. Peace. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.18.34.5 (talk) 23:48, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

I agree with you 100% on all of that. I haven't got anything to do with the mention of the Feedbacker on the page and, like you, I haven't really heard that inspiration for the album name came from the pedal from anywhere apart from this wiki. I was merely contributing that I'm almost sure there was a Boss Feedbacker on one of the members pedalboards at a gig last year. It shouldn't be mentioned in the article. [edit] Mabuta no Uta should be Mabuta no Ura?

I've got the CD right here and the katakana clearly says: マブタノウラ 128.255.191.236 (talk) 23:21, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

It's listed at Mabuta no Ura - I don't see it listed as Mabuta no Uta anywhere. BeastmasterGeneral 14:17, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
This site also says that it's "mabutanoura". = ∫tc 5th Eye 18:02, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
