I created this article when I was working my way through the list of authors who had won the Lambda Literary Award, a significant literature award, and who didn't have articles yet. I admit that it's a pretty poor excuse for a stub, but I have no conflict of interest. Shimko is a minor author, but she has won one significant award, and her works have been reviewed, see here and here. This was one of the first articles I created at Wikipedia, so I acknowledge its weaknesses, but I'd like to see it at least get an AfD. -FisherQueen (talk ยท contribs) 21:04, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
