Dr. Bohdan Hawrylyshyn (Ukrainian: Богдан Дмитрович Гаврилишин) is a noted economist and an economic advisor to the Ukrainian government.
Since Ukraine declared independence in 1991, Dr. Hawrylyshyn has been an advisor to several Ukrainian prime ministers, as well as to most chairmen of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada.
This Geneva-based semi-retired author and scholar taught at the International Management Institute affiliated with the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, and helped found a similar institute in Kyiv in 1990.
He is also an active member of the Lisovi Chorty fraternity within the Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organization. Since 2006 Mr. Hawrylyshyn is a Headman of Plast.
