Boca Juniors de Cali

Boca Juniors de Cali was a soccer team which represented the city of Cali since its creation in 1949 until its exit from professional soccer in 1957. Since its early years it adopted the jersey from the Argentine team Boca Juniors.

Boca Juniors de Cali was one of the most important teams of its time. It had been in second place at the end of the 1951 and 1952 seasons, finishing behind Millonarios of Bogotá in both cases.
It was also the champion of the Copa Colombia in the 1950-1951 and 1951-1952 seasons. In the 1952-1953 season, they finished in second place, once again behind Millonarios.

In 1957, came the departures of both "...the Unión Magdalena and the Boca Juniors de Cali, great animators in the early years of our professional soccer. Twice champions of the 'Copa Colombia' and twice second place in the professional tournament in 1951-52"[1].
