[edit] Old Time Rock

Does anyone Know when Bob Seger Wrote Old time Rock and Roll? --Davo50 22:47, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

Old Rythym Section. [20:18, 26 October 2005 Snr Chris]

[edit] Error in the link

There is an error in the Greatest Hits 2 link. It points to a URL which has information for the Album Greatest Hits 2 by Oak Ridge Boys. Draz99 07:10, 26 December 2005 (UTC) Draz99

Fixed. Wasted Time R 13:44, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Jail?

I had heard that Segar went to jail recently for smuggling cigarettes into Canada, any truth to this?randazzo56 00:20, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

No. Wasted Time R 01:55, 28 June 2006 (UTC)hgjkkkyghmgvm
Concur...I have seen nothing about Seger involved in smuggling, cigarettes or anything of the like in the news. That is trash....Engr105th 05:05, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bob Saget Vs. Bob Seger

POV: I having made the mistake, at Waffle House, between the two find that my addition to the article was legitimate. Their names being so close cause a general confusion between these two great and popular artists.

I've flagged the article PVP until this point is resolved.

207.157.65.2 16:06, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

I've removed the POV tag. Nobody would confuse the two unless they were A) extremely confused, or B) intoxicated. Besides which, what does your confusion have to do with the POV of the article? Dismas|(talk) 16:14, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. This person must have been at the rare Waffle House that serves LSD. Wasted Time R 16:17, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
Now you're just insulting me and making Wikipedia into a chat room. That seems wrong.
Another user removed my comment so we inherently had two points of view. 207.157.65.2 16:16, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
A link to Bob Saget somewhere on the page would be enough to clarify it for most people. I see this as a happy medium.207.157.65.2 16:21, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
I understand how one might confuse the two names. You might disagree, but there is no need for ridicule. --Bensin 21:04, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
"Most people" are already clear. Cross links between articles are reserved for cases that really need it, such as for Vanessa Williams. Wasted Time R 16:31, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
The similarity of the names cannot be disputed and I having come to this page for more information and noticed the misssing information regarding "Full House" am happy to know that I'm simply at the wrong page. Kudos to anon user 207.157.65.2A3b2c1r46 03:18, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
A3b2c1r46's first post ever is this? Smells like a sockpuppet to me. Wasted Time R 03:36, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Ironically I came to this page by mistake when trying to find out some information Bob Saget. So I guess Bob Segar and Bob Saget are commonly mistaking for each other. I agree that is page should remain listed as POV. --wikifan 16:04, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Falsely marked as being from User:wikifan, who hasn't edited since 2005, the above is really from anon 68.62.143.225, who also has chosen to make their first-ever edit on this talk page. Yeah surrre. Wasted Time R 00:50, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Note that 68.62.143.225 then tried to remove the above observation from this Talk page. Wasted Time R 22:49, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

I removed the {{pov}} tag because A)It doesn't go on talk pages, and B)It's not for name confusion. --Gavia immer 19:20, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

I added the {{pov}} back to the page. Everyone seems to have his/her {{pov}} on this topic. [20:20, 20 August 2006 68.62.143.225]

I'm confused as to why this article is again not marked POV and does not contain a link to Bob Saget. This seems very confusing to me and I think an addition to the article is needed. I'm opening this up for discussion for 3 days. If no notes to the contrary are made I'm adding a link to the famed Bob Saget. A3b2c1r46 22:24, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Full House

Did Bob record Beautiful Loser before or after Full House? Flagg 29 [21:35, 4 October 2006 ]

What is Full House? Wasted Time R 12:47, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Oh, I'm an idiot (he says, a month and a half later). Wasted Time R 15:16, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sales

What about record-sales of Bob Seger in the U.S.? Especially of the newer ones since the beginning of the Nielsen Soundscan era. Can you tell? [10:49, 25 October 2006 212.7.174.107]

There is a website someplace where sales-obsessed wikipedians get each week's soundscan album figures, but I don't know what it is. Wasted Time R 12:47, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Turn the Page

I don't see any mention of 'Turn the Page' in this article. It seems to also be one of his most popular works, not to mention come-back popularity with the cover by Metallica. Which era was it written in? Which album was it on? etc... [16:19, 14 November 2006 134.67.6.11]

It's there, towards the end of the 'Regional favorite' section, and it's linked to the article on the song itself. Wasted Time R 19:32, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fire Down Below

As a native Detroit-er myself one of my favorite Seger songs is Fire Down Below. There was no mention of this song in the Seger bio, why not? And how his song rank in Seger's list of hits?--67.150.237.145 17:13, 21 January 2007 (UTC)--67.150.237.145 17:13, 21 January 2007 (UTC)--67.150.237.145 17:13, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "2+2=4.90684325"

"2+2=4.90684325": Is that really the name of a song (album?) because at the end where they are all listed, there is "2+2=?". Did someone change the question mark to a number? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.129.56.245 (talk) 05:47, 5 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] New Album?

Does anyone know anything about the (rumored) new album Seger might do? I've heard some things about it - one being a song called "Outland" is on it - but not much. Anyone have any more info? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.24.61.93 (talk) 00:44, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
