Blessed [2] is the eighth studio album from rapper Busta Rhymes. It is scheduled to be released in mid-late August, 2008.[1]

The album was originally going to be called Before Hell Freezes Over however Busta Rhymes later changed it to Back on My Bullshit[3], and then again to I'm Blessed and finally settled on Blessed.[2]. It was also originally planned for a release in December 4, 2007; however, it has been pushed back to June 17, 2008 and now is scheduled to be released on July 1, 2008.[3] In an interview, Busta Rhymes stated that he is having problems with samples and has pushed his album back to a mid-late August release.[1]

The album features production from P. Diddy and the Hitmen, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Focus, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, RZA, J Dilla, DJ Premier, DJ Scratch, Nottz, Linkin Park, and Cool & Dre, amongst others.[citation needed]
During an interview with MTV News Busta Rhymes mentioned that he will be working with longtime collaborators as well as some people he's never had the chance to work with before. He said:
During an interview with FLOW 93.5 in Toronto, Kardinal Offishall stated that he will appear on a track which will also feature Akon.[5]
At a private listening session in Manhattan, Busta announced that guest appearances would include Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, Common, Nicole Scherzinger, Akon, T.I., Linkin Park, T-Pain amongst others. [6]
The first single was originally going to be "Watch Ya Mouth" featuring Swizz Beatz, but then it was changed and will not appear on the album. Don't Touch Me (Throw Da Water On 'Em) then became the first single. [7]
Linkin Park also collaborated on the song "We Made It". The video was shot April 15th, 2008. The video for "We Made It" premiered on BET and Yahoo! Music on April 29. [8]
