I have expanded this article quite a bit as Eliezer is a important figure in Israel, this article didn't even mention he was leader of the labour party from 2001-2002

Someone ought to add information on the allegations that Eliezer led a massacre of Egyptian POWs in the Six Day War. It has caused serious tensions between Israel and Egypt in recent weeks: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6419471.stm
