Biliary reflux

Biliary reflux or bile reflux is a condition that occurs when bile flows upward (refluxes) from the small intestine into the stomach and esophagus.

It is different from Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), that happens when the stomach acids flow into the esophagus.
